Hello Incoming 7th Graders (Class of 2027), Welcome to the Jr/Sr High School! This year we will be doing a virtual self paced orientation. There will be no set time you or your family will need to be present in school or in front of a screen. Instead you and your family will be able to watch short videos about how to open your locker, basic Jr/Sr High expectations, course requirements, etc. More details will be sent in the mail on August 25th along with your schedule. In that packet will also be details regarding our 1:1 laptop program and what you need to do to receive one on opening day. Once you receive the Orientation instruction letter take a few days to work through the videos and 1:1 laptop paperwork at your own pace. Then call or email with any questions you may have. I return to the office on August 31st and will begin responding to your questions and concerns as quickly as I can. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Regards, Mr. Busch

Many teachers are participating in our Summer Tech Camps this year to collaborate on projects and prepare for the upcoming school year. Ms. Noyes and Mrs. Johnson are collaborating on an exciting project for 7th grade Life Science classes. The goal is to incorporate both technology and outdoor education into a capstone project for Mrs. Noyes's master's program. They've decided to do this utilizing Google Sites as a way to both organize resources and materials for the outdoor lessons as well as for students to showcase their learning along the way. Each student will curate their own Google Site with pictures and data from observations. The student sites will be linked to the main site, which will be the main hub to access all information pertaining to the project.

Barkman’s Botanical Bootcamp Mr. Barkman is putting a team of students (grades 5-12) together to build and maintain an edible raised bed and a pollinator friendly garden. We’ll be growing tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse, strawberries in our hydroponic grow towers and assisting the Richfield Springs Garden Club around town with their flower beds. We will also be doing an experiment using raised beds growing mushrooms. We’ll meet at the greenhouse Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays (9am-12noon). This group will begin meeting on July 15th. Don’t be a slacker, get out of bed and come grow with us this summer!
