Petitions are due to the District Office no later than April 18, 2022 at 5:00pm.

2022 Annual Budget Vote & School Board Election is scheduled for May 17, 2022 7:00am-8:00p.m. in person at the Richfield Springs Central School entrance adjacent to the baseball field.

Proposition #1

Resolved, that the Board of Education is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $12,903,098 as General Fund Appropriation budget for the 2022/2023 school year and to levy the necessary tax.

Proposition #2

Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Richfield Springs Central School District is hereby authorized to undertake the acquisition of two (2) 64-passenger school buses, at an estimated maximum cost of $125,000 each, and one (1) van, at an estimated cost of $35,000, all at an estimated maximum aggregate cost of $285,000, less trade-in value, if any, and that such costs, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the levy of a tax to be collected in annual installments; and, in anticipation of such tax, debt obligations of the school district as may be necessary not to exceed $285,000 shall be issued, or the school district may enter into an installment purchase contract if the board of education determines that it is in the best interest of the school district to finance the purchase in that method. At such meeting taxes to be levied by installments will be proposed for authorized indebtedness providing for payment of the acquisition of school buses at an estimated aggregate maximum cost of not to exceed $285,000.  Such taxes shall be levied upon all the taxable property of the District, shall be levied in annual installments and shall be of such amounts and levied in such years as may be determined by the Board of Education. The District Clerk or the Clerk’s designee is hereby directed to add the above to the notice of the annual meeting of the School District. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

Proposition #3

Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Richfield Springs Central School District in the counties of Otsego and Herkimer in the State of New York, is authorized to establish a Repair Reserve Fund and the sum of up to $100,000 is hereby appropriated to such fund to be transferred from fund balance.
