Steam Club students gather around a piece of equipment

The STEAM Club built a Tone Generator. This tool can create certain sounds that could be modified with interchangeable capacitors, resistors, and potentiometers (dimmer switch.) We hooked up the Tone Generator to an Oscilloscope (graphically displays electrical signals and shows how those signals change over time). Engineers use oscilloscopes to measure electrical phenomena to quickly test, verify, and debug circuit designs. We then printed the screen results for analysis.
