Many scholarship providers give big awards to students early on in their academic careers, possibly even funding your entire education. No matter how small or large a scholarship amount is...every little bit helps.

There are a few things you should know about applying for scholarships to maximize the likelihood of receiving a scholarship to help fund your education:

• START EARLY!
• COMPLETE APPLICATIONS PRIOR TO DEADLINES.
• HAVE YOUR ESSAYS WRITTEN EARLY AND PROOF READ THEM.
• RESEARCH SEVERAL DIFFERENT SOURCES FOR SCHOLARHIPS.

Remember applying for scholarships is like having a part time job...you should put a few hours a week into the process.

• Scholarship Box / Online List: The School Counseling Department's Administrative Assistant keeps numerous file boxes for the many local and regional scholarship opportunities we receive. An exhaustive list of those documents is also available online. Click Here For the List.
• Clark Foundation Scholarship: The applications for this award are distributed each winter. The due date is typically in mid to late January. See the School Counselor for more details.
