All parents, guardians, and other persons in parental relation registering students must be residents of the Richfield Springs Central School District. All proofs of residency must be current (within 30 days of registration). Please provide one of the following documents to establish your physical presence in our district:

Home Owners

• Mortgage statement
• Deed
• Real estate closing statement
• Utility bill (electric, water, telephone, gas, etc.)
• Pay stub
• Income tax form
• Driver’s license or any other state or government-issued identification
• Documents issued by federal, state or local agencies

Renters/Shared Housing

• Residential lease signed by both parties
• A statement by a third-party landlord, owner, or tenant
• A statement by a third party establishing the parent(s) or person(s) in parental relation’s physical presence in the District.
• Utility bill (electric, water, telephone, gas, etc.)
• Pay stub
• Income tax form
• A driver’s license or any other state or government-issued identification
• Documents issued by federal, state, or local agencies

Court Ordered Custody/Guardianship – If a court has issued an order pertaining to the custody or guardianship of a child, the court papers must be presented at the time of registration, along with photo identification for the custodian(s)/guardian(s).

Affidavits of Custody – If a child is living with persons within the District other than the child’s biological or adoptive parents, and no court order has been issued awarding custody or guardianship to the person(s) with whom the child is living, the District requires the parent(s) and person(s) in parental relation to provide affidavits verifying the transfer of parental custody and control.
