Group counseling typically consists of children from the same grade level. Students who participate in group counseling meet with the counselor for 30 minutes once a week during the school day. The purpose of the small groups is to provide a safe environment for learning and praciting new skills, sharing thoughts and feelings, and focus on a variety of topics.

Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Divorce

* Death/Grieving

* Study skills

* New students

* Bullying

* Social skills

* Friendship

* Anger management
