The Richfield Springs Central School Board of Education held a regular meeting in the cafeteria on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.  Members present:  President-Brad Smith, Vice-President-Jim Marzeski, Tom Shypski, Scot Mondore and Bruce Watson.  Also present: Robert Barraco-Superintendent, Penny Harrington-Principal, TheriJo Climenhaga-Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, Kurt Sunderland-District Treasurer, Teena Shypski-District Clerk, employees and community members.

Cook/Manager, Lisa Fassett, presented information on the school cafeteria.

Several RSCS booster club representatives gave presentations on their respective groups highlighting the many opportunities provided to our students throughout the school year. 

SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT

Mr. Barraco said it was a pleasure to meet RSCS alumni at last week’s reunion.  Other items noted:

§   RTTT (Race to the Top) monies awarded; funding targeted for specific purposes such as collecting student data.  SED to implement reform initiatives.

§   September 1 is opening day for staff.
